Nokia has Made a Grand Comeback with the New Lumia Series

New Lumia Series

The new Lumia 520, 620, 820 and 920, all are doing extremely well in attracting new customers as well as bringing back old loyal customers of Nokia who gradually shifted to Apple, Samsung and other Android handset makers in absence of any visible and remarkable effort from the Finnish giant. The new phones are all Windows phones which makes them different from the current breed of smartphones. This was a great decision from Nokia. The iOS is a proprietary operating system and Android being free has attracted more handset making companies than you can probably imagine or count. By selecting the relatively low competitive Windows platform, Nokia has made sure of two things. Firstly, they remain as the only BIG name in Windows phone manufacturing and gets the highest share of the pie. They easily avoid the cut throat Android market this way and also attract the customers who want to have Windows as their mobile operating system.

In UK these phones are available under the Sim Free Mobile Phone deals and already selling like hotcakes. The phones are receiving fair bit of media coverage, popularity and hype as well due to the excellent features they have. After a long gap, Nokia phones are something to talk about, again. This is also a good news for the Microsoft corporation as they badly needed someone to use their latest Windows 8 operating system which is their first effort to create a mobile centric operating system. In a way, it can be said, Nokia and Microsoft came to each other's rescue and till date the association seemingly doing both of them good.
